Adjustable Cat Door Latch – Paw-Shaped Door Strap
Keep an interior door partly open so your cat can reach a litter tray or food area while helping limit access for a larger dog. This paw-shaped adjustable cat door latch loops over a compatible handle or knob and uses a pin in the door-frame strike opening.
Choose your option
Available in White or Black with the supplier-labelled “Plastic Screws” or “Metal Screws” fittings. These labels refer to the fitting option, not an entirely metal strap. Choose one of the four options; the package list states one cat door holder.
Fitting and adjustment
- Check that your door handle or knob and its strike opening suit the fitting shown in the photos.
- Loop the paw-shaped end over the handle or knob.
- Set the pin in a suitable adjustment hole and place it into the strike opening to hold the door partly open.
- Check the fit and door gap with your pets under supervision before relying on it.
The supplier describes fitting without drilling. Compatibility depends on the door hardware and is not universal. Remove the strap when you need to close the door fully; it is not a security lock.
Measurements and material information
The supplier dimension graphics show an approximate overall length of 31cm (12.2 inches) and width of 7cm (2.75 inches). The imported 11.5-inch figure is inconsistent with that guide.
Adjustment varies by fitting: photos show different numbers of holes, and one graphic shows door gaps of 2.2 and 5 inches, while the text claims 1.5–6 inches. The exact usable range for each option is not confirmed. Choose a gap your cat can comfortably pass through rather than treating either range as guaranteed.
The supplier names both ABS and PE for the plastic body, so the exact polymer is unconfirmed. Metal-pin composition is also not independently verified.
Important use limits
This is a pet-access aid, not a child-safety gate or childproof lock. Do not rely on it to keep babies or children out. Dog exclusion depends on animal size, behaviour and the fitted gap; it cannot guarantee separation or prevent bites and injuries. Supplier images mentioning babies or injury prevention are not verified safety claims. Supervise pets and stop using the latch if damaged or loose.
